
SAN JOSE, Calif. - KJ Martin Jr., a 6-8 forward transfer from Tulsa, will join the San José State men’s basketball team for the 2026-27 season, as announced by head coach Tim Miles.
KJ Martin Jr., 6-8, Forward, Tampa Bay, Fla. / Tulsa
- Joins the Spartans for his sophomore season
- Played in all 38 games for the Golden Hurricane, helping guide Tulsa to the NIT Championship game
- Averaged 1.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game last season
- Also shot .429 from the field and .391 from three in his freshman season
- Redshirted in 2024-25 after graduating high school early and joining Tulsa mid-season
- Lettered all four years at The Rock School
- In his shortened senior season, Martin was averaging better than 20 points and 10 assists to go along with five assists
- All-State First Team selection as a junior
- State Runners-up junior season, helping The Rock School to a 26-6 record
- Helped write a children's book with his dad that helps teach kids about American Sign Language
