CLOVIS, Calif. – San José State closed the second day of the Mountain West Championships with several strong performances and qualifications for the final day of competition. Zoe Ewell secured a spot in the women's 100m dash finals, placing fourth overall with a time of 11.45 after finishing second in her heat. This time ties Ewell's own school record in the 100m dash.
- Riley Costales finished just shy of qualification for the finals in the women's 100m hurdles, placing tenth overall (fifth in her heat) with a time of 13.92, this time puts Costales at the number six spot for 100m hurdles in SJSU's program history
- Dontae Smith qualified for the men's 400m dash final, placing eighth overall (third in his heat) with a time of 47.78
- Jared Jones placed tenth overall in the men's 100m dash prelims with a time of 10.50, Nathaniel Guillory was close behind, placing eleventh overall (fourth in his heat) with a time of 10.51
- Tyson Bonilla finished sixth in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.26m (23’ 10”)
