Iyer Ties for 13th to Lead Spartans at NCAA Corvallis Regional

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Avinash Iyer shot a 71 (E) on Wednesday to lead the trio of Spartan individuals in the final round of the 2026 NCAA Men’s Golf Corvallis Regional from the Trysting Tree Golf Club to wrap up their postseason campaigns.

Iyer finished the tournament at 4-under par (209) overall, earning a tie for 13th place. The regional's lone individual advancing spot to the NCAA Championship Finals went to the lowest scorer not on an advancing team, and it went to Liberty's Michael Lugiano, who finished at 12-under par and won the regional.

Keshav "KC" Mungali turned in a 2-over 73 in his final round. Mungali finished the three-day event with a cumulative score of 1-over par (214), placing him in a tie for 40th.

Ivan Barahona also finished strong, matching Iyer with an even-par 71 on Wednesday. Highlighted by three birdies in his final round, Barahona concluded the tournament tied for 43rd place with an overall score of 2-over par (215).
