COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West Conference announced the national television schedule for the upcoming San José State University football season on Wednesday.

The Spartans will open their 2026 campaign on Saturday, Aug. 29, at top-ranked USC. The matchup is slated for a noon kickoff and will be seen on NBC. This marks the first time in program history that the Spartans will play on NBC, and it’s the fourth consecutive season the Spartans will appear on CBS, ABC, or NBC.

The following week, SJSU hits the road to face Eastern Michigan (EMU) on Friday, Sept. 4. That contest will be shown on ESPN+ with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. (PT)

San José State opens its home national television schedule on Saturday, Sept. 19, hosting rival Fresno State in the annual "Battle for the Valley." The rivalry game will kickoff at 8:00 p.m. on FS1.

The Spartans' television package also features four games on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN), highlighted by three marquee home matchups at CEFCU Stadium with games against Wyoming on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6:00 p.m., UNLV on Nov. 21 at 4:00 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 27 at 12:30 p.m. against North Dakota State (NDSU).

The Black Friday matchup against NDSU marks the second time in three years the Spartans will play on the day after Thanksgiving. Additionally, this schedule represents the sixth straight season the Spartans will host a Friday contest at CEFCU Stadium, and the third consecutive year playing three Friday games overall. It also marks the fifth time in the last six seasons that SJSU will conclude the regular season at home.

Rounding out the CBSSN slate, the Spartans will travel to face Air Force on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 4:00 p.m. (PT)

Six additional games are scheduled to be seen on MW+, including home matchups against Cal Poly (Sept. 12), New Mexico (Oct. 31), and Northern Illinois (NIU) (Nov. 7). The MW+ road slate features trips to Hawai‘i (Oct. 3), UTEP (Oct. 17), and Nevada (Oct. 24).
