COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State’s Reina Zermeno, Ahmiya Noriega, and Delaney Faus have all earned 2026 All-Mountain West softball honors, the conference announced Wednesday.
Zermeno has been named to the All-Mountain West First Team, while Noriega was named to the All-Mountain West Second Team, and Faus earned an honorable mention accolade. These are the second career All-Mountain West honors for both Zermeno and Noriega.

Reina Zermeno, INF, Sr., Sacramento, Calif./Sheldon HS
- In the MW, she finished second in triples, seventh for batting average, and third for slugging percentage
- Finished the season with team-leading stats of .376 avg, .745 slugging percentage, .441 on-base percentage and 38 RBIs
- On 53 hits, she has collected new career-highs of 105 total bases with career-highs of 12 doubles, five triples, and 10 home runs
- Hit two home runs in a single game and went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate against No. 22 Grand Canyon (3/22)
Ahmiya Noriega, INF, Sr., San Jose, Calif./Silver Creek HS
- Finished the season with the second-highest batting average of .349
- Stole a total of team-high 11 bases
- Went perfect at the plate in three games this season against Manhattan, UNLV, and Colorado St.
- Had 13 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games
Delaney Faus, UTIL, Fr., Buena Park, Calif./Cypress HS
- Pitched the second most innings in the MW with 146
- Pitched a complete game that went eight innings, earning the win, only allowing four hits and striking out two against Sacramento State (2/27)
- Recorded her first two wins in conference play and had a 1.05 ERA against UNLV for the series victory (2/13 & 2/15)
- Earned back-to-back wins over New Mexico, pitching two complete games, holding a 1.50 ERA through 14 innings of work, and striking out 10 (4/24 & 4/26)
