
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Scotty Middleton, a 6-6 small forward transfer from Tulane, will join the San José State men’s basketball team for the 2026-27 season, as announced by head coach Tim Miles.

- Joins the Spartans for his senior season
- Appeared in all 33 games for Tulane last season, starting in 19 of them
- Averaged 6.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 25.7 minutes per game
- Led the Green Wave and ranked seventh in the AAC in three-point shooting, connecting at a 36.9 percent (52-141) clip from beyond the arc
- Scored in double-figures 10 times last season
- Made 29 appearances with four starts at Seton Hall during the 2024-25 season where he averaged 5.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 21.1 minutes per game
- Hit the game-winning tip for the Pirates against UCONN on Feb. 15, 2025
- Played 30 games making one start at Ohio State his freshman season
- Averaged 4.4 points and 1.4 boards in 15.3 minutes per game for the Buckeyes
- Connected at a 45.2 percent clip from beyond the arc for Ohio State
- Rated as a five-star recruit at Sunrise Christian in the class of 2023
- Ranked the 34th recruit in the nation in 2023 by ESPN
- Helped lead Sunrise Christian to Geico Nationals twice, including a run to the final four as a senior with a win over defending champion and top-seed Montverde in the first round
- Played for Brad Beal Elite AAU on the EYBL Circuit, averaging 10.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists across seven games
