
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Brayden Barrett, a 6-5 shooting guard out of Verrado High School in Arizona, will join the San José State men’s basketball team for the 2026-27 season, as announced by head coach Tim Miles.

- Joins the Spartans for his freshman season
- Averaged 26.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game his senior season
- Also shot 50 percent from three in 2025-26
- Named All-Arizona First Team and 5A Regional Player of the Year in 2025-26
- Spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Millennium High School before heading to Verrado for his junior and senior seasons
- Will be one of three players in the Spartans’ incoming freshman class, joining Cade Krueger and Rokiem Green
