
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Aurèle Brena-Chemille, a 6-4 point guard from Toulouse, France, will join the San José State men’s basketball team for the 2026-27 season, as announced by head coach Tim Miles.

- Joins the Spartans for his freshman season
- Played for Poitiers Basket 86, a Pro B (2nd division) team in France, this past season
- Averaged 10.7 points, 2.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game across 42 games for Poitiers
- Helped lead Poitiers Basket 86 to the French Pro B promotion championship game
- Named the French Pro B player of the week after scoring 22 points (8-13 FG, 2-5 3PT, 4-4 FT) & four assists in a 80-74 win over Nantes on 4/21/26
- Represented France in the 2024 FIBA u20 Eurobasket in Gdynia, Poland. He scored 12 points off the bench in the championship game, helping lead France to an 82-78 win over Slovenia
