TAMPA, Fla. - San José State redshirt senior punter Trent Carrizosa has been selected to the 2026 Shriners Children's East-West Bowl 1000 list.
The prestigious watch list recognizes 1,000 top all-star game-eligible college football players across all divisions, serving as an initial preview for NFL scouts and personnel evaluating talent for the 2027 Shriners Children's East-West Bowl and the 2027 NFL Draft.
A San Jose native and Del Mar High School product, Carrizosa has established himself as one of the Premier special teams weapons in the Mountain West. Coming off a standout campaign in which he recorded 39 punts for 1,777 yards—averaging 45.6 yards per punt—Carrizosa placed a career-high 14 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line and recorded a career-long boot of 68 yards.
Carrizosa's recognition on the Shriners Bowl 1000 list adds to an impressive list of accolades entering his senior season, which includes preseason All-Mountain West honors from both Athlon Sports and Phil Steele.
The 102nd edition of the Shriners Children's East-West Bowl—the nation’s oldest college football all-star game—will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on February 4, 2027, featuring top NFL coaching staffs and resources for participating draft prospects.
