SAN JOSE, Calif. - Abigail Peterman scored not only her first but also the second goal of her collegiate career to lead the San José State women's soccer team (0-3-1) in a 2-2 draw to Fullerton (1-1-2).
The Titans struck early in the match, scoring within the first minute to take the quick and early 1-0 lead.
Coming off the bench in the 30th minute, Peterman only needed eight minutes. On a free kick just outside the box, Charlotte Memoly sent it to the keeper, who couldn't get a hold of it and Peterman took advantage and knotted the game at 1-1.
Just five minutes later, on a corner kick, Memoly sent another into the box that was deflected by defenders and Peterman found her spot in the top half of the goal to have the Spartans jump out on top.
Fullerton scored another goal of their own in the 66th minute to finalize the game at 2-2.
Paige Fry finished the game with six saves.
- The last time a freshman scored twice in a game was by Kayla Santacruz on Oct. 24, 2010, against Utah State in a 4-1 game
- This is the first result earned by the Spartans against Fullerton in the seven meetings all-time
- The last time the Spartans drew 2-2 in a match was against UNLV last season on Sept. 25, 2025
- Mercedes Cioffi, Alexi Ames and Memoly each played the full 90
