NORMAN, Okla. - San José State men's golf continues to shine both on the course and in the classroom, as three student-athletes have been named 2025–26 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Monday.
For the second consecutive year, Jed Dy, Avinash Iyer, and Keshav "KC" Mungali earned the prestigious honor, which recognizes collegiate golfers for their excellence in academics, athletics, and character.
To qualify, student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior academically and athletically, maintain a stroke average under 76.0, compete in at least 50% of their team’s competitive rounds, and uphold a minimum cumulative career GPA of 3.2. Recipients must also be in good standing and of high moral character.
Jed Dy, Senior, Makati, Philippines, George Washington
- Wrapped up his second year at SJSU after competing at George Washington his first two collegiate seasons
- Played 33 rounds with an average of 73.39, while having 10 rounds at par or better last season
- Finish a season-best tied for 15th at the 2026 Mountain West Championship with a 209 (-7), which included a 68 and all three rounds under par (5/3-5)
- Also had rounds of 68 at the Palouse Collegiate and in the third round of the Jim DeLapa Collegiate to help the Spartans to the team win (9/28-29) this past season
- Fired a 68-69-73 (-3) to finish in a tie for 28th at the Palouse Collegiate (9/9-10)
Avinash Iyer, Senior, San Ramon, Calif., Dougherty Valley HS
- Played all four years at SJSU
- Named All-Mountain West in 2025-26
- Finished last season with a 69.81 average, which is the lowest single-season score in SJSU history
- Had 25 SJSU rounds at par or better to lead the team in 36 rounds played last season
- Finished tied for 13th with a 69-69-71 for a 209 (-4) at the 2026 NCAA Corvallis Regional as an individual (5/18-20)
- Tied for sixth place in the 2026 Mountain West Championship with a 206 (-10) and had all three rounds under par, including a non-bogey second round (5/3-5)
Keshav “KC” Mungali, Junior, Belmont, Calif., Crystal Springs Uplands School
- Played all three years at SJSU
- Named All-Mountain West in 2025-26
- Ended last season with a 70.50 average, which was good for second on the team, with 23 SJSU rounds of par or better in 36 total rounds
- His 70.50 average is the third lowest single-season score in SJSU history
- Shot a 71-70-73 for a 214 (+1) at the 2026 NCAA Corvallis Regional as an individual (5/18-20)
- Shot a 210 (-6) at the 2026 Mountain West Championship with a 69-73-68 to finish in a tie for 19th place (5/3-5)
