LAS VEGAS - Amir Anwary has been named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week the conference announced on Monday. This marks Anwary’s first career player of the week award.
Anwary scored or assisted on all four of the Spartans’ goals in their 4-2 win over Saint Mary’s last Sunday, finishing with two goals and two assists. Anwary became the first Spartan to tally six points in a game since Angel Iniguez recorded a hat trick against Air Force on Oct. 3, 2024. Watch all four of the Spartans’ goals here.
The Spartans are looking to carry the momentum of Sunday’s win into next Friday when they host No. 1 Stanford at 7 p.m. PT at the Spartan Soccer Complex. The game can be watched on MW+.
