PALM DESERT, Calif. - The Acrisure Series released its full multi-team event schedule Thursday morning, with San José State men’s basketball placed in a pod with Loyola Chicago, Seattle and UC San Diego. The Acrisure Series will bring together 26 Division I programs for 26 games over six days at Acrisure Arena from November 21-26, 2026. SJSU’s pod will play from November 22-23.
The Spartans will play its first game of two in the MTE against Loyola Chicago on Nov. 22 at 9 p.m. The winner of SJSU vs. Loyola Chicago will compete against the winner of Seattle vs. UC San Diego on Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. The losers of both games will also face each other on Nov. 23 at 9 p.m.
This will be the second season in a row the Spartans will compete in the Acrisure Series. Last season, the Spartans fell to Tulsa in the opening game, but defeated Loyola Chicago to claim third place in the pod.
This will mark the third season in a row the Spartans will face Loyola Chicago. San José State is 1-1 against the Ramblers, falling to them in the opening round of the 2025 NIT, but defeating them in last season’s Acrisure Series. The Spartans are 6-5 all time against Seattle and have not faced the Redhawks since 2015. The Spartans have never faced UC San Diego.
