SAN DIEGO— Soledad Fayos Capilla and Camila Celis won their doubles match to lead the San José State women's tennis team on day two of the USD USTA Tournament on Friday.
- Fayos Capilla and Celis won a consolation doubles match, defeating BYU's Bella Lewis and Allegra van der Walt, 6-2.
- Emma Fantousis and Emilija Pranyte faced the No. 2 seed in doubles, falling to USD's Anna Linn and Ines Leon in a tight tiebreak, 7-6 (7-3).
- In singles, Fantousis lost to No. 3 seed Lily Taylor of Arizona State, 6-3, 6-3.
- Fayos Capilla fell in her singles consolation match against San Diego State's Vesa Gjinaj, 6-1, 3-6, 7-10.
- Celis was defeated by Grand Canyon's Alexia Adascalitei in singles consolation play, 6-3, 6-1.
