SAN JOSE, Calif. — San José State football has finalized a non-conference matchup against Sacred Heart University for the 2027 season opener. The Spartans will host the Pioneers on Thursday, August 26, 2027, at CEFCU Stadium.
"We are excited to lock in another quality home matchup and kick off the 2027 season in front of our fans at CEFCU Stadium," said SJSU Director of Athletics Jeff Konya. "Home openers bring a fantastic energy to campus, and we look forward to welcoming Sacred Heart to San José State."
The matchup marks the first-ever meeting between San José State and Sacred Heart on the gridiron.
