SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State women's soccer team (1-6-2, 0-2-0 MW) will host UNLV (3-4-3, 1-0-1 MW) on Saturday and the match can be watched on MW+.
This match will be the first of five home conference matchups that will be featured on MW+.
- Paige Fry, Paige Pineda-Aliamus and Indigo Sims were named to the 2026 MW Women's Soccer Watch List
- This is the second consecutive time that Fry has been nominated to the watch list
- Fry recorded her first career shutout in the 0-0 draw against CSUN. Fry recorded her third career-best in saves with eight, against Santa Clara this season
- Fry has since recorded three other games with eight saves, the most this season in a single game
- Fry currently sits atop the MW in saves and is tied 33rd nationally with 51 saves. The only MW goalie to be within the top 50 nationally in total saves
- Abigail Peterman scored the first two goals of her collegiate career in the draw against Fullerton earlier this season. The first time since Kayla Santacruz on Oct. 21, 2010, that a freshman scored multiple times
- SJSU currently holds a 6-8-2 record against UNLV
- The Spartans and Rebels last met last season in Las Vegas, which resulted in a 2-2 draw
- The last time the Spartans defeated the Rebels was on Sept. 28, 2023, in a 3-0 bout on the road. The last time the Spartans were victorious at home over the Rebels was on Oct. 2, 2022, 1-0
- UNLV is entering this matchup with a four-game unbeaten streak. They are coming off a 1-1 draw against GCU on Sunday and a 2-1 win over UTEP on Thursday, Sept. 24, to open conference play. This is the first season the Rebels are led by head coach Kacey Bingham
