SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sophia Daily scores her second goal of the season for the San José State women's soccer team (2-11-3, 1-7-1 MW) in the 1-1 draw to UC Davis (5-9-3, 3-4-1 MW)
The Spartans found their scoring opportunity in the 40th minute when Indigo Sims was fouled just on the edge of the box. Daily earned the nod to take the kick after a minute of confusion from the refs; she sent one to the goal that rang off the crossbar into the net.
In both halves, the Spartans held the Aggies to only six shots. In similar fashion to SJSU, UC Davis scored their goal on a free kick that was sent into the box and headed into the near side of the goal.
The Aggie goal was scored at the 88:59 mark of the match.
- The Spartan goal was the first first-half goal since earlier this season against Cal St. Fullerton
- Paige Pineda-Aliamus, Analise Martins and Abigail Peterman each recorded two shots; Gabrielle Williams, Sims and Daily each recorded one
- Mercedes Cioffi has played the full 90 minutes in 13 straight games
- Charlotte Memoly has a four-game streak of playing all 90 minutes; Alexi Ames has a two-game streak; Elizabeth Ortega also played the full 90
- Paige Fry recorded seven saves
