Spartans to Host Colorado College on Sunday on MW+

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State women's soccer team (2-7-2, 1-3-0 MW) will host Colorado College (5-4-4, 3-0-1 MW) on Sunday at noon and will be featured on MW+.

  • Paige Fry, Paige Pineda-Aliamus and Indigo Sims were named to the 2026 MW Women's Soccer Watch List
  • This is the second consecutive time that Fry has been nominated to the watch list
  • Fry recorded her first career shutout in the 0-0 draw against CSUN. Fry recorded her third career-best in saves with eight against Santa Clara this season
  • Fry has since recorded three other games with eight saves, the most this season in a single game
  • Fry currently sits atop the MW in saves and is tied 34th nationally with 61 saves. The only MW goalie to be within the top 50 nationally in total saves as of Oct. 9
  • Abigail Peterman scored the first two goals of her collegiate career in the draw against Fullerton earlier this season. The first time since Kayla Santacruz on Oct. 21, 2010, that a freshman scored multiple times
  • Sims scored her first two goals of the season and as a Spartan in the 4-1 win over UNLV. Her first goal was the game-winning goal and the second was the brace to put the Spartans up 3-1
  • Sophia Daily scored her first collegiate goal against UNLV that tied the match 1-1
  • The Spartans look to extend their current home win streak of 2-0 and 1-0 home conference streak at home
  • Prior to last Saturday, the last time the Spartans won a Mountain West home opener was on Sept. 26, 2021, 2-0 over Colorado College
  • SJSU currently holds an 8-3-0 record over Colorado College, dating back to their first meeting on Oct. 24, 2014, in a 3-2 Spartan win
  • The last time the two programs met was on Oct. 24, 2024, in a 3-0 Tigers win in Colorado Springs
  • The last time the Spartans defeated the Tigers was on Oct. 30, 2022, in the opening match of the Mountain West tournament, 1-0
  • Colorado College is entering the matchup with a current 5-4-4 record and a 3-0-1 record in conference play. Head coach Keri Sanchez is entering with a 28-39-21 record at Colorado College and an 184-139-52 career record
