2014: A starter in all 16 matches in which he appeared...lone goal came off a free kick and also had the assist on the game-winnner (three points) in a 2-1 victory at Grand Canyon (10/31)...assisted on the first goal in a 3-1 victory over Houtson Baptist (10/17)...among his 24 shots, twice produced a single-game high of five, vs. Incarnate Word (10/19) and vs. Seattle (11/7)...put a season-best four shots on goal vs. Incarnate Word...played 1,415 minutes.
2013: Appeared in 19 matches with 17 starting assignments...30 shots were third most on the team...attempted a team single-game high six shots at Seattle (11/9)...put nine shots on frame and twice had two in a game - Seattle (10/5) and at UNLV (10/20)...played 1,539 minutes.
2012: One of three players to start in all 18 matches...led all newcomers with 19 shot attempts...picked up his first collegiate point, an assist, against Houston Baptist (10/28)...first goal came against Seattle U (11/3) - it was also the game winner...played 1,528 minutes, second most on the team.
HARTNELL COLLEGE: Played the 2011 season under Coach Daniel Ortega...tallied two goals and nine assists for a team that went 16-2-3 overall...won the Coast Conference Championship and reached the state final...ended the year the No. 3 ranked team in the nation, No. 2 in the state and were the top ranked side in Northern California.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Alisal High School (Coach Mark Cisneros) in Salinas, Calif....a four-year letterwinner and member of three Tri-County League championship sides (2007-09) as well as the 2010 Central Coast Conference Champs...earned second-team All Tri-County honors in 2008 and was the team's MVP in 2009...at Alisal, his teams were a combined 57-16-16 overall and 39-3-5 in league play.
ENRIQUE: Majoring in communications with a minor in health science...played his club ball for the US Soccer Development Academy's Santa Cruz Breakers...enjoys playing the guitar and body surfing in his spare time...the son of Aida and Jose Alfredo Montano...a native of Salinas, Calif., Enrique Montano was born May 25, 1993.
