Isabel Gonzalez-Velarde Season 2018

SPARTAN NOTES: In her first year as a Spartan.

OHLONE COLLEGE: Competed for the Renegades (coach Julie Marshall) in the 2016-17 season… a California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (CCCFCA) All-Northern California honoree…batted .410 with an on-base percentage of .473 and slugged .701…finished the year with 17 doubles and five triples, fourth and fifth respectively in the North Division of the Coast Conference.

OBERLIN COLLEGE: Competed for the Yeowomen (coach Sara Schoenhoft) in the 2015-16 season…started 37 games…batted .281 (32-for-114) with six doubles, a triple and three homers…scored 23 times and drove in 10.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Granada High School in Livermore, Calif…a four-year letterwinner (coach John Heinz) in softball.

ISABEL: Plans on majoring in sociology…played club ball for the Lady Hustle (coach Julie Marshall)…the daughter of Elena Velarde and Rene Gonzalez…Isabel Gonzalez-Velarde is a native of Livermore, Calif.
