San Jose State Facilities

CEFCU Stadium is home to the San Jose State football team and the men's and women's soccer teams. The football team has played its home games in the stadium since 1933. The Spartans won the first football game played in the stadium, 44-6, over San Francisco State on October 7, 1933. The multi-purpose facility is the site of the school's annual commencement ceremonies. Concerts, professional and collegiate soccer, religious convocations, band competitions and high school football games take place at CEFCU Stadium. The 1999 Women's World Cup and the 1999 NCAA Women's College Cup attracted record-setting crowds.

The installation of the board, built by Daktronics, added a vital component to the in-game experience for spectators at CEFCU Stadium. CEFCU Stadium oversaw a facelift in 2012 with the painting of the entire lower bowl and west facade blue. In addition to the painting, new padded chairs were installed in Spartan Foundation seating sections and the renovation of two suites. Future plans include renovations of further suites and east bleacher seating.
