Lemaki Musika Season 2014

AT SAN JOSÉ STATE: In his third season with the Spartans... Heads into the 2014 preseason drills as a defensive end candidate... First joined the team for 2012 Spring practice.

2013: Played in the final two games of the season as a reserve defensive lineman... Was not credited with any tackles.

2012: Finished the season as a redshirt... Entertained hotel guests playing the piano during the week of the Military Bowl.

HIGH SCHOOL: A San José Mercury News two-time first-team All-Central Coast Section selection... Credited with 150 tackles, 4.0 quarterback sacks and 3 pass interceptions in his senior season for Milpitas (Calif.) High (Coach Kelly King)... The 2010 De Anza League Defensive Player of the Year and a San Francisco Chronicle All-Metro honorable mention honoree... A second-team All-Metro pick and shared the De Anza League Junior of the Year Award... Played in the 2011 Charlie Wedemeyer All-Star Game in San José... Three-sport letterwinner also played one season of basketball and was a shot put and discus thrower on the track and field team.

MORE ON LEMAKI: A communication studies major... Older brother, Siua Musika, was a starting defensive tackle at the University of Idaho during the 2004 through 2007 seasons... Sister, Louisa Musika, was a two-time NCAA Division II All-America discus thrower for the San Francisco State track and field teams from 2009 through 2012... Can play the guitar, piano, drums, ukulele and bass... Performs in the 10-member Assembly of God church band, Remnant, which has toured California... The native of Riverside, Calif., was born on August 15, 1993.
