Led the Spartans in all the major pass receiving categories with personal single-season bests of 47 receptions, 581 yards and six touchdowns… His six touchdowns was one shy of the most touchdown catches by a San Jose State tight end in a season… Career high seven receptions for a season-best 109 yards and a touchdown vs. Boise State (11/27)… Had a touchdown reception in the wins over New Hampshire, Fresno State, UNLV and New Mexico… Had 21 receptions over the four-game span of Oregon State, Fresno State, Auburn and UNLV prior to the mid-season mark… One of three Spartans with three receptions of at least 30 yard during the season.
2014: Played only in seven games and was a starter in games one through three and in the season finale at San Diego State... Caught 19 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown... Matched his single-game best of six receptions and gained 76 yards in the Nevada game (9/27)... Only touchdown play of the season gave San Jose State a 10-7 lead in the Navy contest (10/25)... 2013: Earned the number-one tight end job and became one of the most consistent receiving threats on the team... Honorable Mention All-Mountain West and College Football News All-Freshman Team Honorable Mention tight end... One of two Spartans to catch a pass in every game... Fourth on the Spartans with 27 receptions and second with his 15.8 yards per catch average... Had six receptions of 30 or more yards... Most productive game of the season was his six receptions for 119 yards in the Wyoming win (10/26)... Became the first San José State freshman tight end to gain more than 100 yards in pass receiving in a game... Led all listed FBS freshman tight ends in receiving yards per game... One of 13 listed FBS tight ends with 400 or more receiving yards and at least a 15.0 yards per catch average... The first San José State tight end to throw a touchdown with his 30-yard strike in the UNLV win (11/2)... HIGH SCHOOL: An ESPN.com 3-star tight end for two seasons at Red Mountain High in Mesa, Ariz. (Coach Ron Wisniewski)... Caught 67 passes for 785 yards and nine touchdowns in 2010 and 2011... A two-time first-team all-region and a second-team all-state pick as a tight end and a second-team all-state choice as a special teams player during his high school career... Began his varsity high school career as a quarterback on the Brophy Prep in Phoenix, Ariz.
