2013: Played in all 12 games and started seven times as an outside linebacker... Credited with 26 tackles, shared the team lead with 4.0 quarterback sacks and tied for fourth on the team with 4.0 tackles for loss... Had all of his tackles for loss in the first six games of the season... 2.0 of his 4.0 sacks came in the Sacramento State win (8/29)... Season-best eight tackles at Minnesota (9/21) included a quarterback sack.
2012: Finished the season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football (Coach Jay Braun) at Oak Grove High in San José, Calif.... Played tight end and defensive end... A first-team all-league and a second-team All-Central Coast Section choice as a junior after making 69 tackles and coming up with 10 quarterback sacks.
MORE ON EUGENE: A child and adolescent development major... Would like to become a middle school teacher... Dad, Woody Taylor, was a defensive back on the 1974 and 1975 San José State football teams... Brother, Kellen Taylor, was a wide receiver for the 2003 University of Oregon team... He is a native of San José.
