Biggest play of the season was blocking a 43-yard field goal attempt by UNLV's Nicolai Bornand on the Rebels' first overtime possession... Blocked field goal preceded a San Jose State touchdown for the 33-27 overtime road victory (10/10)... Was credited with at least one tackle in 12 of 13 games... One sack during the season came in the fourth quarter of the Brigham Young contest (11/6) and preceded an 85-yard touchdown drive... Season-high six tackles and a career best 2.5 tackles for loss in the Oregon State game (9/19).
2014: Played in 11 games and had four starting calls... Three of his starts were in the first three games of the season... Final start was against Colorado State (11/1)... 17 tackles during the season... Season-high four stops in the North Dakota season-opener (8/28) and at Minnesota (9/21) and San Diego State (11/29)... Also had 1.5 tackles for loss and his one quarterback sack for the season in the finale at San Diego State.
2013: Played in 11 games and started nine times... Moved into the starting lineup for the Minnesota game and started eight of the final nine contests... Eighth on the team in total tackles and third on the squad with 5.0 tackles for loss... Had season-highs of 10 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss in the Wyoming win (10/26)... Matched his 2.0 tackles for loss in the Navy game (11/22)... One of three Spartans with two or more games of 2.0 tackles for loss... Was credited with quarterback sacks in the Wyoming and Navy games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football (Coach Greg McCaig) and wrestling at Cypress Creek High in Houston, Texas... Was a defensive end his three varsity seasons... Qualified for the Texas Region III high school wrestling tournament as a junior and advanced to the state championship tournament as a senior.
