Michael Tate Season 2013

AT SAN JOSE STATE: In his first season with the Spartans... Signed a National Letter-of-Intent in February 2013... Competing for playing time in the wide receiver rotation.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football (Coach John Meagher) and track and field at Federal Way (Wash.) High... A two-time, first-team all-city and All-South Puget Sound League selection... Led his team with eight TD receptions on just 21 catches as a senior... Also came up with three interceptions as a cornerback in 2012... A sprinter and a long jumper for the track and field team... Seven-time finalist at the Washington state 4A high school track and field championships... Had a best of 23-feet-3.5 in the long jump and 22.03 in the 200 meters... Third in long jump and sixth in the 200 meters at the 2013 state 4A championship meet... Third in the long jump and fifth in the 200 meters in 2012.... Anchored the 4A champion 4x400 meter relay team in 2012.
