First interception set up a San Jose State touchdown... First career interception was at BYU (10/28)... Credited with a single-season career best 32 tackles... Had a single-game career high seven stops at Colorado State (11/18)... Tied for fifth on the team in the tackles for loss category at 3.5 for the season... Credited either with a solo or assisted tackle for loss in four games... Had his first career quarterback sack against Utah State (9/23).
2016: Saw action in all 12 games... Was a starter in the first six games and in the UNLV win (10/29)... Finished the season with 16 tackles and a fumble recovery at Iowa State (9/24)...Season-high five tackles against Utah (9/17).
2015: Played in nine games... Used mainly as a special teams player... Saw some action as a nickel back in passing situations as the season progressed... Credited with one tackle for the season which came on kickoff coverage against Boise State (11/27).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 CalHiSports.com fourth-team all-state and two-time first-team underclass all-state honoree at Archbishop Mitty High in San Jose (Coaches Dan Brown and Matt Haniger)... Played running back, wide receiver, defensive back and was used as return specialist... intercepted 10 passes as a defensive back... Named to the CalHiSports.com lists for 2012 first-team all-state sophomores and 2013 first-team all-state juniors... A two-time San Jose Mercury News All-Central Coast Section second-team and four-time West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) honoree... Second-team All-WCAL honors as a sophomore and first team selections his final two seasons... The 2013 WCAL Most Valuable Wide Receiver... Caught 19 passes for 406 yards averaging 21.4 yards per catch and scored five touchdowns as a junior... Two-sport letter winner was a guard on the basketball team.
