AT SAN JOSÉ STATE: In his fifth season with the Spartans... Has experience as an offensive and defensive lineman... Played in 16 games with eight starting calls in his first three seasons... Begins 2019 fall drills as an offensive tackle candidate... Signed a National Letter-of-Intent in February 2013... Completed a church mission before joining the Spartans for the first time in 2015 preseason practice... Proposed to his then-girl friend, Laike Reader, in CEFCU Stadium after the March 23, 2019 intrasquad scrimmage and she accepted... A Fall 2018 Mountain West All-Academic team award winner.
2018: Had his most extensive playing time in a season at the major college level appearing in 10 games and starting eight times... Moved into the starting lineup at right tackle for the Washington State game (9/8), the second game of the season, and remained the starter through the Wyoming contest (11/3).
2017: Saw action in four contests, non-conference games at Texas (9/9), Utah (9/16) and BYU (10/28) and the San Diego State (11/4) home game... Credited with an assisted tackle in the Utah game.
2016: Played in two games, Portland State (9/10) and Hawai'i (10/8), as a reserve offensive lineman.
2015: Completed a redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football (Coach Preston Jones) and wrestling at Perry High in Gilbert, Ariz. ... An honorable mention all-district selection as a senior... Played defensive end only as a junior... A qualifier for the 2013 Arizona State High School Wrestling Championships... All wins during the 2013 season prior to the state meet were by pin fall.
