2017: Appeared in 10 contests... Was a starter in the first nine games of the season and saw action in a reserve capacity vs. Colorado State (11/18)... Third on the team in tackles with 84... Ninth in the Mountain West in tackles per game at 8.4... Had three games of 10 or more tackles... Single-game career-high 14 tackles in the season opener vs. USF (South Florida - 8/26)... 10 tackles the following week in the Cal Poly win (9/2) and 11 stops at Utah (9/16)... Team leader with two fumble recoveries - one at Utah and the other at Colorado State... 2016: Played in 12 games... Started 10 times... One of five Spartans to make a tackle in every game... Sixth on the team with 53 tackles... Season-high 13 tackles against Air Force (11/19)... Credited with 5.0 tackles for loss for the season... Had a season-best 2.0 tackles for loss in the Fresno State win (11/26) as the Spartans yielded just 245 yards of total offense... First major college quarterback sack came in the UNLV win (10/29).
2015: Completed a redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played defensive back and wide receiver for JSerra Catholic High (Coach Jim Hartigan) in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. ... Helped his team to the school's first C.I.F. Southern Section playoff appearance and 10-win season in 2014... Two-time, first-team All-Trinity League selection.. A wide receiver pick as a senior and defensive back as a junior... Caught 99 passes for 1,279 yards and 12 touchdowns as a wide receiver in his three seasons... Was credited with 43 tackles, two pass interceptions and led his team with nine pass break-ups in 2014... Served as a return specialist averaging 42.1 yards on 16 kickoff returns and 11.9 yards on 13 punt returns... His team's Special Teams Player of the Year as a junior and a senior... Concluded his high school career playing in the 56th annual Orange County All-Star Charity Game in Costa Mesa, Calif.
