Will Butler Season 2019

AT SAN JOSE STATE: In his first season with the Spartans... A long snapping specialist... First joined the Spartans for 2019 spring practice.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Played two seasons for San Jose City College (Coach Jim Winkler)... Was a linebacker and long snapper for the Jaguars... Credited with 31 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and two pass breakups as a sophomore... Was in on three tackles as a freshman in 2017.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football at Leigh School in San Jose, Calif. (Coach Kyle Padia)... Was an outside linebacker and wide receiver his junior and senior seasons... Was in on 47 tackles, 4.0 quarterback sacks, forced two fumbles and recovered one as a senior.

MORE ON WILL: A communication studies major... Enjoys fishing, hunting and snowboarding... He is a native of Santa Cruz, Calif.
