AT SAN JOSE STATE: In his second season with the Spartans... A quarterback hopeful... First known signal calling prospect to join the program after passing for more than 10,000 yards in high school... Signed a National Letter-of-Intent in December 2018... Has four seasons of athletics eligibility remaining.

2019: Had his first major college action playing briefly in the fourth quarter against Boise State (11/2)... Did not have any pass attempts in the game... Retained his first year of athletics eligibility.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played his high school football at San Joaquin Memorial High in Fresno, Calif. (Coach Anthony Gaston), for three seasons and at Exeter (Calif.) High (Coach Chris Frankland) as a freshman... Among the top-five California Central Section quarterbacks for career passing yardage with 11,671 yards and 116 touchdowns... Completed 66.2 percent of his passes (727-of-1,098) in his four seasons... Led San Joaquin Memorial High to the California Interscholastic Federation (C.I.F.) Division II-A championship game... A dual threat signal caller who rushed for 19 touchdowns during his high school career... The 2015 second-team All-Central Sequoia League honoree as a freshman... A two-time first-team All-Metro Atlantic Conference (MAC) selection for San Joaquin Memorial High and the MAC’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2018... Threw for 4,253 yards and 50 touchdowns as a senior – the first San Jose State quarterback prospect to throw 50 touchdown passes in a single season prior to becoming a Spartan.

Credits his dad, Frank Trujillo, for instilling a productive work ethic and his older brother Adin for his teaching him everything possible about being a quarterback...
