Brice Van Etten joined the San José State University football staff as the video coordinator in December 2020.
Van Etten comes to the Spartans after four seasons with the Idaho State University football program. He held a variety positions with the Bengals – video coordinator, assistant director of football operations, and offensive quality control coach.
The native of Los Alamos, N.M. graduated from Idaho State in 2019. He majored in physical education with an emphasis in sports management. Van Etten went on to earn a master’s degree in physical education-athletic administration from his alma mater in July 2020.
Van Etten was a high school quarterback for Los Alamos High. As a senior, he helped his team earn a share of the 2013 4A 2 District championship.
