Rob Christoff joined the San José State University football staff as the outside linebackers coach in March 2021. He just finished his second season with the Spartans in 2022.
Christoff brings more than 25 years of college, high school and pro football coaching experiences to the Spartans. Most recently, he spent 2020 with the Seattle Dragons of the XFL as an assistant offensive line coach, his first coaching a position group on offense.
He has 10 seasons as a defensive coordinator – eight of them at Eastside Catholic High in Sammamish, Wash. The Crusaders won state championships in 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019 and played in the 2012 and 2013 Class 3A state championship games.
Coached at Montana State when they won three Big Sky Conference championships (2002, 2003, 2005) and was on the staff when Idaho won the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl.
