Garrick Chan Season 2012

AT SJSU: Completed his second season of cross country in fall 2013.

2013 Cross Country: Competed in five races including the Mountain West (MW) Championship...scored in the first three meets of the season for the Spartans...top finish of 40th place came at the USF Invitational 8K (8/31)...ran his fastest 8K time of 28:44.1 at the Bronco Invitational (10/19)...finished 64th with a time of 33:47.46 at the MW Championship 8K (11/1).

2012 Cross Country: Competed in all six races including the WAC Championship...best result of 33rd place (29:11) came at the 8K Crystal Springs Invitational (10/6)...fastest 8K time of the season was 28:31.4 at the Bronco Invitational (10/13)...finished 69th (30:30.51) at the WAC Championship (10/27).

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed during all four years at Saratoga High School in cross country and track, earning three varsity letters in each...during senior year he specialized in the 800 meter event where he ran a personal best 2:04.49...also competed in the 1600 meter where his personal best was 4:50.55...he ran his personal best cross country 5K time of 17:54 at the 2010 Stanford Invitational...finished in 15th place at the 2010 Central Coast Section Finals with a time of 17:12 (3 miles).

GARRICK: An accounting major...would also like to study business...aspires to one day work in either Chicago, Ill., New York City or Los Angeles, Calif., in accounting or finance..enjoysrunning, listening to musicand rooting for all Bay Area sports teams...a member of the SJSU Banking and Investment Association and Beta Alpha PSI Fraternity...born September 30, 1992 in Palo Alto, Calif., and now calls Saratoga, Calif., his hometown.
