2012: Made 17 starts in 17 appearances, missing only the match against UNLV (10/14)...attempted six shots on the year - had two shots each against New Mexico (10/26) and versus Denver (11/8) in the MPSF Tournament and one against San Francisco (8/26) and New Jersey Institute of Technology (9/23)...played 1,393 minutes, third-most on the team.
2011: Appeared in 19 matches, earning 14 starts...tallied the first goal of his collegiate career against Sacramento State (11/10) in the MPSF Tournament...got off 18 shots on the year with seven reaching the opposing keeper...twice got off four shots in a game - at UC Riverside (9/18) and against Sacramento State (10/2) - all on frame...played 1,309 minutes on the year.
2010: Redshirted the season after earning one start in three appearances...lone shot was on goal at Cal State Fullerton (9/10).
2009: Made 18 starts among 19 total appearances mostly on the defensive side...1,466 minutes gave him the fifth highest total on the team...put three of ten shots on frame... played 90 minutes or more in a match 12 times.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, Calif., earning varsity letters in soccer in all four years (Coach Alex Montez)...selected second-team All-Santa Clara Valley Athletic League (SCVAL) El Camino Division as a senior...was a first-team all-SCVAL selection and the team Most Valuable Player as a junior.
CLUB: Played on the US Youth Soccer Far West Region IV ODP team for three years, at times with former Spartan Steven Sanchez...was most recently a pool player for Region IV, after being an active member of the team for two years...also club soccer teammates with Sanchez for the Mount Hamilton Lobitos, playing for former Spartan assistant coach Chris Behler at the U17 level...member of the Lobitos' 2006 Cal-North State Cup and 2005 Nomads Thanksgiving Tournament Super Group champions...helped the Lobitos through both the regional and national tournaments in winning all nine games by a combined score of 39-7, on their way to the US Club Soccer U17 Super Group title at the 2007 National Cup IV...member of four State Cup winners in all...in 2006, chosen to join a select team traveling to Argentina to play against other select teams in his age group from Brazil and Argentina...has played the game of futsal for the Mexican American Community Services Agency (MACSA)...spent the 2008 and 2009 summers playing for the Juventus Earthquakes of the NorCal Premier Soccer U20-U23 League.
MAURICIO: Majoring in business administration with a concentration in management...the son of Rosa and Mauricio Murillo, Sr....a native of Santa Clara, Calif., Mauricio Murillo, was born September 28, 1990.
