2016:Â Played in all 19 matches, starting in 18 of them... second on the team behind goalkeeper Nedin Tucakovic in minutes played with 1,546... tied for second on the squad with seven points and three assists... scored a goal in the season-opener against Pacific and also against Incarnate Word... produced a season-high three shots on goal on four shots against UC Riverside (9/23)...10 of his 25 shots were on frame. 2015: Earned starts in all 18 contests in which he appeared…set career-highs for goals, shots and points...led the team with four assists…second on the squad with four goals, 12 points, 47 shots and 21 shots on goal…was successful on his lone PK opportunity…four goals are a career-high and came in a six game stretch - versus Grand Canyon (10/11), at Utah Valley (10/16), versus UMKC (10/23) and at UTRGV (10/30)…assists came against UC Davis (9/16), Grand Canyon (10/11), Air Force (10/25) and versus UNLV (11/12)…three times - at UC Riverside (9/25), at Incarnate Word (10/4) and versus UNLV - produced a career-high five shots in a game.
2014: A starter in all 17 of his appearances...led the team with eight assists, the most by a Spartan since the 2008 season, and 1,481 minutes...twice had two-assist games; in a 4-1 victory over UMass (9/2) and a 5-1 decision at Air Force (10/10)...assisted on the game winners at Air Force, vs. Houston Baptist (10/17) and CSU Bakersfield (10/26)..lone goal was the initial strike vs. Houston Baptist...among his 23 shots, produced a single-game high four vs. Seattle (11/7)...nine of his 23 shots were on frame.
CSU BAKERSFIELD: Competed for coach Simon Tobin and the Roadrunners in the 2013 season...started six matches in 15 total appearances...scored three goals and assisted on three others...had the game winner at Grand Canyon (11/1/13).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Lindsay (Calif.) High School...a three-year letter winner (coach Fode Doumbia)...as a senior set a single-season record with 54 assists guiding his team to a 24-2-3 record and a spot in the CIF Southern Regional championship.
MORE ON JONATHAN: Majoring in Spanish...lists camping and going to the movies among his interests...hopes to play soccer professionally and pursue a coaching career after graduation... a native of Leon, Mexico.
