Julia Gallegos Season 2015

SPARTAN NOTES: Has competed for three years as a Spartan.

2017: Appeared in 38 games as a base running specialist…batted .400 (2-for-5) with 10 runs scored…hits came against Hawai'i (2/17) & at UNLV at (3/13)…scored single runs vs. McNeese State (3/3), at San Diego (3/5), at Pacific (3/8)…at Loyola Marymount (3/29), vs. Boise State (4/13), at Fresno State (4/23) and vs. Cal State Fullerton (3/19)…earned walks against UC Riverside (2/11) and Southern Utah (2/17)…took one for the team vs. UC Riverside…lone putout of the season came against Creighton (2/9)…had an on base percentage of .625 and a slugging percentage of .400. 2016: Appeared in seven games all as a base running specialist... scored two runs, against Colgate (3/17) and San Diego State (4/16)...was successful in her one stolen base attempt versus UNLV (3/29).  (Game-by-Game Stats)

2015: Took the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep in San Francisco, Calif...a four-year letterwinner (coaches Patrick Dunne & Frank Sinkavich)...threw 307.2 innings and struck out 217 in four seasons...in 2013 batted .493, slugged .682 and had a on-base percentage of 536 while spending 115.2 innings in the circle...in only five games as a senior, due to injury, hit .450 and went 2-0.

JULIA: Majoring in psychology...played club ball for USA Elite (coach Tom Vance)...lists drawing and dance as two of her hobbies...the daughter of Denise and Matthew Gallegos...a native of San Mateo, Calif., Julia Rose Gallegos was born August 13, 1996.
