2018: Appeared in 48 games with 43 starts…earned nine starts in leftfield, 18 in right and 16 as the designated player…batted .302 (39-for-129) with 33 runs scored and 27 RBIs…had an on base percentage of .425 and slugged .481…was successful in advancing runners at a .568 clip (54-of-95) and batted .500 (9-of-10) with a runner on third and less than two outs…ranked third on the team with nine two-out RBIs…with the bases loaded hit .444 (4-of-9)…her 39 hits ranked third on the team…33 runs ranked third on the squad and was fourth with 27 RBIs…rapped out eight doubles, second most on the team, with a single-game best of two against Fairleigh Dickinson (3/15)…had six multi-RBI games with her single-game high of four against South Dakota (2/8)…her five homers were the third most on the team and included a grand slam against South Dakota…had 10 two-hit games, which was the third highest total for the squad…three runs at Boise State (3/24) were a season-best among nine multi-run games…drew 28 walks, second on the team – five times she was walked multiple times in a game with a season-high three against South Dakota (2/16)…lone steal came against Iowa State (2/18)…defensively recorded 35 putouts with three assists and one error in 39 chances and a fielding percentage of .974.
2017: Made 12 starts in 32 total appearances…earned four starts in the outfield and eight at designated player…batted .282 (11-for-39) with 10 runs and seven RBIs…her best game came vs. Princeton (3/23) when she went 2-for-3, scored twice and drove in four on a double and a three-run home run…other multi-RBI game came against UC Riverside (2/11) when she drove in two on a triple…longest hitting streak was three games…twice scored two runs in a game – vs. UC Riverside and Princeton…multi-hit games came against Portland State (2/24), vs. Princeton & at San Diego State (4/2)…stole a base against Southern Utah (2/17)…hit .346 (9-for-26) with runners on and .385 with runners in scroing position (5-for-13)...was successful advancing runners at a .429 clip (12-for-28)...finished with an on base percentage of .333 and a slugging percentage of .436…had five putouts, including a game-high two vs. Western Michigan (2/9).
2016: Appeared in 10 games, in nine as a pinch running specialist and in one as a pinch hitter...scored three runs - versus Tennessee (2/13), Portland State (2/20) and UTEP (2/20)...lone at bat came against Virginia (2/13).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Placer High School in Auburn, Calif…a four-year letterwinner (coach Aaron Rubio)…38th Annual Optimist High School Softball All-Star Game MVP…a four-time All-Pioneer Valley League honoree, including first-team selection as a sophomore, junior and senior…two-time team defensive MVP selection and earned offensive MVP… 2015 Sacramento Bee All-Metro team.
KAELIN: Majoring in psychology...plans to pursue a career in sport psychology…played club ball for the NorCal Firecrackers…the daughter of Candace Forsberg and Dan Amrein...Kaelin Marie Amrein is a native of Roseburg, Oregon.
