Assistant coach Christen Hardee enters her seventh season on the San José State softball staff in 2016.
Before coming to San José State, Hardee was a volunteer assistant coach at San Joaquin Delta College in 2005 and an assistant coach at the College of the Redwoods for the 2004 season.
Hardee was an accomplished player during her collegiate career at Humboldt State. A member of the 1999 Division II National Championship team, Hardee was a catcher for the Lumberjacks and received all-region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in 2001. She was inducted into the Humboldt State Athletics Hall of Fame on October 16, 2009.
A true student-athlete, Hardee graduated Summa Cum Laude from Humboldt State in 2004 with a dual bachelor of science degree in environment science and geology. She also minored in watershed management and received the 2004 Outstanding Student Award from Humboldt State's College of Natural Resources and Sciences. Hardee was a four-time NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete and a three-time Pac-West Academic All-Conference selection.
Hardee is currently working towards her Master's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in coaching from Texas Woman's University.
