AT SAN JOSE STATE: Entering his second season with the Spartans in 2020. 

2019: Competed in all five races and scored in one...scored in the Capital Cross Challenge in second race of collegiate career...finished in 52nd in first-ever collegiate race at the USF Invitational (9/3)...was 67th at the Mountain West Championships (11/1)...posted season-best time of 26:07.5 at Capital Cross Challenge (9/28).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Abraham Lincoln High in San Jose where he was coached by his father, Jose Pina ... Qualified for the CIF State Championship his senior year and was the track and field league champion for the 3200m ... Set the 3200m record at the De Anza/Cupertino Invite with a time of 9:44.68 ... Posted personal bests of 6:24.14 in the 1600m and 9:39.03 in the 3200m.
