Mikaylah Wilson Season 2017-18

SPARTAN NOTES: Has competed for two seasons as a Spartan…will enter her junior season ranked 19^th on the program’s career blocked shots list (48), 15^th in blocked shots per game (0.9/g) & 21^st in offensive rebounds per game (1.5/g).

2018-19: Appeared in 26 games with 21 starting assignments, including all 18 games in Mountain West play…averaged 7.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 0.8 steals, 0.7 blocks and 0.5 assists in 19.3 minutes per game…hit 78-of-176 (44.3 percent) from the floor and was 25-of-36 (69.4 percent) from the free throw line...recorded five double figure scoring games including twice, at San Diego State (2/2) and against Air Force (2/23), hitting her career-high 16 points…recorded two double doubles; 16 pts/11 rebs. at San Diego State and 14 pts/12 rebs. versus New Mexico (2/13)…had three double digit rebounding games, including a career-high 12 vs. New Mexico…dished out a career-best three assists at Colorado State (2/20)…had three two-block games; versus  Nevada (1/9), UNLV (1/19) & at San Diego State…six times she had two steals…among Mountain West performers she ranked 11^th in field goal percentage (.445), 12^th in offensive rebounds (2.0/g) and 16^th in overall rebounding (5.0/g)… in Mountain West games ranked 7^th in field goal percentage (.496), 9^th in offensive rebounds (2.3/g),13^th in total rebounds (5.7/g) and 14^th in blocks (0.9/g)… saw a career-high 29 minutes of action against CSU Bakersfield (11/24).

2017-18: Appeared in 30 games with nine starts…averaged 5.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 1.0 steals and 0.3 assists in 16.6 minutes per game…finished the season ranked 30^th in the MW in rebounds, 4^th among all freshman, and 8^th in blocks, 3^rd among all freshman…in MW play was 29^th in rebounds (4.3/g), 4^th among all freshman, and 4^th in blocks (1.2/g), 2^nd among all freshman…twice – at Santa Clara (11/28) and against Nevada (2/21) - logged a season-high 25 minutes…reached double-digit scoring three times – against Nevada and at San Diego State (2/24) - with a season-best 15 points coming at Pacific (11/24)…collected a season-best five steals against CSUN (12/7)…dished out a season-high two assists at Santa Clara and against UNLV (1/31)…grabbed 11 rebounds, a season-high, at Pacific, where she had the first double double of her college career (15 points, 11 rebounds)…swatted a season-high three shots at Air Force (1/13)…for the year shot .332 (68-for-205) from the floor and .446 (25-for-56) from the line. 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate and four-year letterwinner at Etiwanda (Calif.) High School (coach Anders Anderson)…four-time Baseline League champion…2017 Baseline League MVP…2017 third-team MaxPreps.com All-State selection…in averaging 16 points and nine rebounds earned selection to the Los Angeles Times All-Area Team, Southern Section All-Open Division Team and was named the Inland Daily Bulletin All-Area Player of the Year and San Bernardino Sun All-Area Player of the Year…two-time All-Baseline League honoree…completed her high school career with a 40-0 league and 86-28 overall record…a first-team Inland Daily Bulletin All-Inland Valley performer as a junior.

MIKAYLAH: Majoring in public health...plans to attend nursing school after graduation…first name is pronounced “mah-KAY-lah”…played club ball with the Cal Sparks EYBL (coach Elbert Kinnebrew)…cousin Kenny Lawler was a seventh-round draft pick of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks…the daughter of Stephanie Hall…Mikaylah Rae Wilson is a native of San Diego, Calif.
