2019: Recorded a 4-5 record…partnered with Ryann Thomison to go 4-4 – 2-2 in the third and fourth positions…also partnered with Haylee Nelson to start the season and went 6-2 in exhibition matches…ended the season playing the final match with Julia Golbeck in the fourth position.
2018: Did not see action during the season.
EASTERN WASHINGTON: Played the 2015 season at Eastern Washington…also play three matches in 2016 before redshirting the year…in her freshman year, played in 21 matches and 68 sets…averaged 1.71 digs per set…season-best 18 digs against Southeastern Louisiana…two blocks against Nevada to start the year…had a career-best eight kills against Lamar to start the 2016 season.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Played on Brazil’s junior national team in 2012…earned accolades at both the club and national level in Brazil…three times, named Copa Minas Brazil Most Valuable Player…awarded top hitter honors at Taca Paraná, the highest-level volleyball tournament in her country.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Colégio Pitágoras in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 2015.
PERSONAL: Majoring in business administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in global innovations and leadership…wants to work in Silicon Valley in the cyber security industry after graduation…both of her parents competed in Olympic Games…father Marcelo was a two-time Olympic basketball standout for Brazil (1980 & 1984), while her mother Luiza competed with the Brazilian volleyball team at the 1984 Olympics…two of her older sisters earned Division I scholarships – Clara, volleyball, at Louisiana Tech; and Júlia, women’s swimming, at Old Dominion…Fernanda Machado Vido is a two-time Mountain West Scholar Athlete and Academic All-Mountain West honoree.
