2020: Played 11 matches in the shortened season…had an 8-3 record…paired with Ryann Thomison, Latahevai Lousi and Taumafa Tuinauvai…started the year in the fourth position with a 3-2 record, all matches paired with Thomison…moved down to the fifth spot…was 0-1 with Tuinauvai and 5-0 with Lousi…finished the season with three consecutive wins.
HOLY NAMES: At Holy Names for the 2017 and 2018 seasons…led the 2017 team in blocks…Academic All-Pac West…D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award…Chi Alpha Sigma (National College Athlete Honor Society).
FEATHER RIVER COLLEGE: Competed on the indoor and beach teams for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Durham High School in 2015…Most Valuable Offensive Player three times…all-conference honors as a junior and senior…Durham High School Female Athlete of the Year…participated in the North vs. South All-Star march…also played basketball and softball.
PERSONAL: Current graduate student working on her MBA… family has a long lineage of athletic success dating back to her great grandpa who at one point qualified for Olympic tryouts in cycling… enjoys singing and dancing and taking road trips with her friends… a certified pilot who flies planes with her dad…Summer Nicole Vercruyssen was born in Sacramento, Calif.
