2013 Cross Country: Competed in five of the team[apos]s six races during 2013...scored in the final three races of the season including the Mountain West (MW) Championship where she finished in 61st with a time of 24:07.76...top finish of 40th came at the Fresno State Invitational 5K (9/14)...ran her fastest 5K time of the season (20:24.0) at the USF Invitational (8/31)...Her fastest 6K time of the season (23:15.9) came at the Bronco Invitational...She ended the season with what distance coach Brad Wick called a 'breakthrough' performance at the MW Championship (11/1).
2012 Cross Country: Competed and scored in all six of the team[apos]s events during the year including the WAC Championship...beat her fastest-career 5K time twice during the year...finished in the top-25 at the Crystal Spring Invitational (10/6) with a time of 25:05 in the 6K event...fastest 5K time of the season was a career-low 19:13.0 at the Bronco Invitational (10/13)...40th place at the Aztec Invitational (9/15) with a time of 20:43.2...finished 58th place at the WAC Championship (10/27).
2011 Cross Country: Competed in all six of San Jose State[apos]s races including the Western Athletic Conference championship... she scored for the Spartans and was the team[apos]s top-finisher at the San Francisco State Invitational...she finished in 23rd place at the Battle of the Bay Invitational (10/4) for her top finish...fastest 5K time of 19:42.4 came at the UC Riverside Invitational where she placed 95th.
COLLEGE PARK HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three letters in both track and field and cross country while competing two seasons on the soccer team...selected first-team All Diablo Valley Athletic League (DVAL) two times for cross country and a second-team All-DVAL selection in soccer...high school career best three mile time of 18:52 and career best 5K time of 19:07.
MARISSA: The nutrition major plans on working as a nutritionist at a hospital after her college career...enjoys reading,mountain climbing, and watching movies in her spare time...the native of Walnut Creek, Calif., was born on September 12, 1992.
