Jeanette Zambrano Season 2015

SPARTAN NOTES:Has competed for four seasons for the Spartans in cross country and three seasons in outdoor track and field. 

HONORS

2017: Competed and scored in all six races…had three top-10 finishes… Was third (17:51.1) at the 5k Fresno Invitational (9/9), fifth (20:56.0) at the Capitol Cross Challenge (9/30) and sixth (20:40.4) at the Bronco Invitational (10/14)… Was 24^th (21:44.8) across the line at the Mountain West Championships (10/27) and 85^th (21:25.3) at the NCAA West Regional Championships (11/10)… Part of team that had its best-ever finishes at the Mountain West Championships (T4th) and NCAA West Regional Championships (8^th).

2016: Ran and scored in all six races... Was the second Spartans to cross the line in each of the team’s competitions… Crossed the line in a career-best 21:19.6 and a second place finish in the Santa Clara Duel (10/15)… In three other regular season meets, never finished outside of the top-25.

2015: Competed in four races, scoring in all of them... In all four meets, finished as the third Spartan finisher… Season best 35th place finish at the 5K Santa Clara Invitational (10/17).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove, Calif... Participated in cross country, soccer, and track... Holds the Garden Grove district league record at Mile Square Park (3 miles) with a time of 17:21... Holds the 3,200 meter record at Bolsa Grande with a time of 10:48... Member of the Bolsa Grande High School Hall of Fame.

JEANETTE: A mathematics major with a minor in kinesiology... Enjoys singing and dancing... Plans to be a coach and compete professionally after graduation.
