CROSS COUNTRY: For the second year in a row, competed in six meets including the NCAA West Regional… Recorded a season best 33rd place finish at the 4200m Fresno State Invitational (9/11)… Scored at the 6K Mountain West Conference Championships placing 57th with a time of 25:52.28.
2014-15
CROSS COUNTRY: One of five Spartans to compete in six meets including the NCAA West Regional... Scored five times for SJSU including at the Mountain West Championship... Her fastest 6K time of 22:13.6 came at the Santa Clara Invitational (10/18)... Recorded a top-30 finish at the Fresno State Invitational (9/5).
INDOOR TRACK: Completed the mile run at the Run For The Dream (2/16) meet in 5:36.11 for her only indoor competition.
OUTDOOR TRACK: Competed in distance events of six meets as a sophomore... Ran a 10:47.49 in the 3000-meter run at the Fresno State Twilight for a new school record... Season-best 4:55.11 in the 1500-meter run at the Bulldog Invitational (3/21)... Improved her season mark in the 5000-meter event by over 30 seconds with a time of 18:13.73 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (4/17).
2013-14
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in three races, scoring once... Finished 68th and scored in the San Francisco State Invitational 6K (10/11) with a time of 25:37.7... Season-best finish of 54th came at the USF Invitational 5K (8/31).
OUTDOOR TRACK: Competed in four meets... Ran both the 1500m and 5000m... Best time for 1500m was 4:55.08 at the Bulldog Invitational (4/26); also recorded a 4:59.16 at the Johnny Mathis Invitational (3/22)... For 5000m ran a 18:19.93 at the SFSU Distance Carnival (4/4) and an 18:59.41(a) at the MW Championships (5/17).
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Paraclete High School where she was a four-year member and team captain of both the cross country and track teams... The 2012 Alpha League champion in the outdoor 3200-meter final... She set personal bests in all four of her events in 2012: 800m - 2:37.89, 1600m - 5:38.46, 3000m - 11:46.57 and 3200m - 11:36.45... In cross country was the 2011 Alpha League individual champion... In 2012, Fujiwara was second out of 87 at the Cross Country Championship West Regional in Walnut Creek, Calif. ... Ran a personal-best 19:20 5K time at the 2012 Division IV State Championship and finished in 21st place out of 202... A scholar-athlete and recognized as the 2012 Athlete of the Year.
