Abegail Arevalo Season 2018-19

Four years at San José State…three career wins – 2018 Coeur d’Alene Collegiate, 2019 The Gold Rush, 2018 MountainView Collegiate…14 top-10 and six other top-20 finishes in her career…honored as a San José State Dean’s Scholar…finished seventh at the 2019 Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship where she shot 67-81-73-70-291.
 
2018-19: Honorable mention Golfweek All-America honoree...Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Year…first team All-MW honoree…ranked 57th on Golfstat and 46th on Golfweek…had a 72.79 stroke average…played in 12 tournaments and 34 rounds…was under par in 11 rounds and shot par in five rounds…eight top-10 finishes and two other top-20 finishes…won the individual title at the Coeur d’Alene Collegiate and tied for first with teammate Natasha Andrea Oon at The Gold Rush…best round was a 67 in the first round of the Illini Women’s Invitational and second round of The Gold Rush…two-time MW Women’s Golfer of the Week…first honor came after winning The Gold Rush…second honor after finishing fourth at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational…won the Coeur d’Alene Collegiate after shooting a three-under 68 in the final round to shoot a two-under 211…won by one shot and made birdies on three of her final five holes and a par on #18…tied for first at The Gold Rush at two-under 214...team’s top finisher in seven tournaments…finished tied for 22nd at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional where she shot a three-over 219…finished the third round par-par-birdie to help secure a bid to the NCAA Championship.
 
SUMMER 2018 GOLF: Won the California State Fair Championship with a seven-under 135…shot a one-under 70 in the first round, followed by a six-under 65 in the final round…tied for eighth at the 88th Women’s Trans National Golf Association Amateur Championship…shot a 69 in the second round…tied for 25th at the Women’s Porter Cup.
 
2017-18: Played at the NCAA San Francisco Regional as an individual…finished tied for 27th at two-over 218…shot 73-72-73 for the three rounds…finished with 40 pars made during the three rounds…first team All-Mountain West selection…led the team in stroke average at 73.65 in 29 rounds played…won her first collegiate tournament by shooting a three-under 213 at the MountainView Collegiate in March…helped the team to a second-place finish…shot nine rounds under par and one round of par…best round was a five-under 67 in the third round of the Ptarmigan Ram Classic where she finished second…honored as the Mountain West September Women’s Golfer of the Month for that finish…also named the MW Golfer of the Week after her win at the MountainView Collegiate.
 
SUMMER 2017 GOLF TOURNAMENTS: Won the UCTSI Riviera Ladies Championship this past summer in Silang, Cavite, Philippines…shot a 70 in the final round to finish at 214 and winning by one…finished second, by one shot, at the State Fair Women’s Championship, September 2-3, in Sacramento…shot 67-69 over the two days.
 
2016-17: Second team All-Mountain West honoree…second on the team in stroke average at 74.23 in 30 rounds played…shot three rounds under par and five rounds of par…best round came at the Mountain West Championship where she shot a four-under 68 in the final round…best finish was third at the MW Championship where she went 74-71-68-213…three top-10 finishes and two other top-20 finishes…was seventh at The Gold Rush where she shot back-to-back 72s…finished 10^th at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic with two-over 218…opened the tournament with a 72.
 
2015-16:  Played in 14 rounds after joining the team for the spring semester…75.50 stroke average…best finish was sixth place at the Mountain West Championship with a 223…shot the team’s low third round with a four-under 68, her only round under par for the season…shot a par-71 in the third round of the NCAA Stanford Regional…finished tied for 33rd at the regional…also shot a 74 at the MountainView Collegiate.
 
HIGH SCHOOL:  Graduated from Southville International School and Colleges in Manila.
 
OTHER GOLF OPPORTUNITIES:  Tied for 16th at the IMG Academy Junior World Championship at Torrey Pines…shot 74-78-74-73…won the 2015 RSGC AmBank Junior Amateur Open in Malaysia…shot 71-73-70…won 2015 FCG World Championship with 72-71-72…won the 2014 PING Summer Championship series…shot 71-74 to face playoff and won with a birdie on first hole.
