Scored a total of 34 individual points (72 relay) at the 2013 WAC Championship... Was a member of the first place 200 Medley relay team at the WAC Championship with a time of 1:40.08... Had second place finishes in the 100 fly and 200 fly... Earned a dual meet win in the 100 fly at Stanford (9/28)... Had two first place finishes (100 and 200 fly) against UC San Diego (1/6)... Part of the winning 200 medley relay team at UC San Diego (1:45.89).
2011-12: First team All-WAC in the 200 and 400 medley relay... Second team All-WAC in both the 100 and 200 butterfly... Part of the WAC Champion 200 medley relay team that set a WAC and school record at 1:39.38 (2/22)... Member of the WAC champion and school record-setting 400 medley relay team at 3:39.45 (2/24)... Scored 30 individual points (80 relay) at the 2012 WAC Championship... Fourth place finishes in both the 100 and 200 fly at the WAC Championship... Earned first dual meet win of the year in the 100 fly at Stanford (9/30)... Part of two winning relays (200 medley and 200 free) at Stanford... Won the 200 fly in back-to-back days (10/28-29), first at UC Santa Cruz (2:04.73), then versus UC Davis (2:03.91)... Part of two third-place relay finishes at the Arena Invitational (11/17 & 18) in the 200 medley and 400 free relays.
2010-11: Second team All-WAC in the 100 fly ...Swam 1:02.91 in the 100 back and 1:00.50 in the 100 fly at Stanford (10/1)... A member of five different relay teams at the University of San Diego Relay Meet (1/9)... Won the 100 fly in 58.24 and 100 breast in 1:08.70 at Cal State East Bay (1/14).
MISSION VIEJO HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner and South Coast League champion (Head coach Jeff Boss)... Earned All-America honors in 2007, 2008 and 2009...Set school records in 200 medley and 200 free relay... A team captain.
ASHLYN: Majoring in kinesiology with a minor in computer graphics... Hopes to pursue a career as a physical therapist after graduation... Hobbies include surfing, snowboarding and motocross... A native of Corona, Calif., Ashlyn Nichole Acosta was born April 6, 1992.
