Brooke Hammond Season 2012-13

AT SAN JOSE STATE: Completed four seasons as a Spartan... Specializes in the longer freestyle events... An Academic All-WAC and San Jose State University Scholar-Athlete award winner... She received All-Mountain West Conference Academic honors for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.

2014-15: Finished fifth in the 500 free agianst UC Davis (10/17)... Finished fourth in the 100 free against UC San Diego and Colorado Mesa (1/4)... Swam to a second place finish in the 200 free and 500 free againts Fresno State (1/31).

2013-14: Finished 20th in the 200 free with a time of 1:53.70 at the Arena Invitational (11/22) ... Career-best time of 5:04.10 in the 500 free at the Arena Invitational (11/21) ... Finished 5th in the Spartans meet against UCSD, Boise State, Air Force, and Incarnate Word in the 1000 free with a time of 10:57.62.

2012-13: Earned her first letter award as a Spartan... Swam in three top-four relays at the University of San Diego Relay Invitational- 300 breast relay, 200 free relay, and 1500 (3x500) free relay (1/5)... Placed in the top-25 in the 1650 free at the Arena Invitational (11/15-17)... Finished fourth in the 500 free at Nevada (1/19)... Swam in the winning 200 free relay team at Cal State East Bay (1/25)... Placed third in the 1000 free against Fresno State (2/2)... A 2012-13 Academic All-WAC honoree.

2011-12: Competed in three events at the George Haines Invitational... Had a season best time of1:59.55 in the 200 free against UC Santa Cruz.

ROSEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: Swam at Roseville High School in Roseville, Calif. (Coach Kelly Cannell).

BROOKE: Majoring in psychology.. Winner of the 2012 San Jose State University psychology department's D'Arpino Essay Contest... Aspires to be a therapist... A native of Roseville, Calif.
