Haley Smith Season 2012-13

AT SJSU: Completed four seasons as a Spartan... 2012-13 Academic All-WAC honoree... A 2013-14 and 2014-15 recipient of the All-Mountain West Conference Academic Award.

2014-15: Finished third in the 200 back against UC Davis (10/17)... Finished third in the 100 back against UC San Diego and Colorado Mesa (1/4)... Placed 15th in the 200 back (2:04.35) at the A3 Performance Invitational in Monterey Park, Calif (11/22).

2013-14: Completed her third season with the Spartans ... Finished 5th in the 200 IM (2:05.09) at the Arena Invitational (11/21) ... Placed 21st in the 100 back (56.85) and 22nd in the 200 back (2:04.44) at the MW Championships (2/21).

2012-13: A 2012-13 Academic All-WAC honoree... Earned seven individual points at the 2013 WAC Championships... Set career bests in the 50 back (27.44), 100 back (56.53), and 200 back (2:01.83)... Placed first in the 200 back at UC Davis (10/2)... Had a second place finish in the 100 back and 200 back against CSU Bakersfield and Northern Colorado (1/4)... Swam on two first place relay teams at the University of San Diego Relay Invitational (1/5)... A member of the winning 200 medley relay team against Fresno State (2/3).

2011-12: Competed in two events in the Arena Invite..her 50 back time (27.92) vs. UC Davis was the team's fourth quickest of the year...her 2:03.05 in the 200 back was the third quickest by a Spartan.

ARCHBISHOP MITTY HIGH SCHOOL: A letterwinner in both swimming and water polo at Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, Calif., for coach Tom Miller (swimming)...A high school All-American in the 200 medley relay...Finished second in the 100 back and sixth in the 200 individual medley at the Central Coast Section meet...Was league champion in the 100 back.

HALEY: Majoring in communication studies...Enjoys skateboarding...Swam for the Santa Clara Swim Club for coach John Bitter...A native of San Jose, Calif.
